Greetings William & Debbie,
We had
our annual meeting on October 8th. The pot luck lunch was great as
usual. The meeting was called to order by our president Bruce Kelley, minutes
were read and approved. Treasurer report
was Checking $5,174.45, and Scholarship fund $ 6,124.19 for a total of $11,298.64. The
sidewalk has been completed, and was thought to be a great addition. The
overhead doors are still waiting to be installed; Bruce and Bill will try to
get them in before winter. There was a long discussion on whether to change the
date of the pig roast to September or leave it in June. The weather may be
better in September, but some feel it is better to leave it as is. It was
decided to mail out a ballot and get a feeling from the membership, so I will
enclose a self addressed stamped envelope and ballot, so please fill it out and
mail it to me so plans can be made. Sue is working on the Historical
preservation application and would like to get info and pictures. If anyone has
info or pictures, please send to me or her. ‘E-mail is good. It was decided to
make the dues Payable, changed from October to January, so the 2018 dues will
become due on Jan 1. There has been some confusion about the fiscal year (Nov
1, to Oct 31).
The
community center is available for members in good standing to be used any time
you wish for free, so if you have an event such as birthday, graduation,
wedding etc, or just a family picnic, please call me and reserve the building
and grounds.

I am sad to report, that not much has been going on, but I really hope
that you feel free to use the building and grounds as a member.
We are planning on having a New
Years Eve party, starting about 8:pm. BYOB and a snack to share, maybe a game
or something fun to share.
St. Paddy’s day is on a Saturday
this year, so we will plan on having a corned beef and cabbage dinner on that
Saturday. We will provide everything but the eaters, that will be up to you to
take care of that problem. I will send a notice when that gets closer.
