THANKSGIVING
We will be having a Thanksgiving dinner at the school house this year. It will be an organized pot luck.  If you are interested, please call Mary at 259-4366 and work out the details with her.  PLEASE let her know as soon as possible (no later than the 15th) so that enough food etc. can be arranged.
BINGO, GAME NITE
We will be starting up the bingo and game nights after the first of the year.  We did get the new outhouses completed, and they have been a well received addition to our Community Center. We will be holding bingo on the second Saturday night and game/poker on the fourth Saturday night starting at 7pm.
ON-GOING PROJECTS
There are no new projects pending.  Keith has finished painting and the old school house is looking great.  He even painted the old out houses, which are pretty much just to look at now.
A great big thank you goes out to Keith, and all who helped with this big job.  Also I would like to thank John Simonich, and his painting co. for the use of his equipment and ladder truck, without which the project would have been next to impossible.
Also thanks to all who helped out with the many projects this year. If I try to mention everyone, I will surly forget someone. We did get the new flooring installed in the kitchen, thank you to Don Epperson for his help with this project. (Actually Bruce and I pretty much just watched).

Richard Redle Left us on March 6th, and also will be greatly missed. Services are planned for Saturday March 14th.

Our sympathy goes out to family and friends. A memorial fund has been established, and tax deductable donations can be made at anytime.

BINGO & GAME NITES
The Bingo and Game nights will continue until the end of May. Bingo is on the second Saturday evening, and game night is on the fourth Saturday starting at 7pm. Nickel, dime, quarter poker seems to the game of choice, but if you would like, bring a few friends and get a game of your choice going… We were introduced to a new game called Left Right Center, It was a lot of fun. Let’s get some more new games going!

Corned Beef Dinner
We are going to have a Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner Sunday, March 15th. Everything will be provided, but if want a (special) beverage, please bring that along. The plan is to eat as close to 2PM as possible, do-do sometimes occurs so if it does we will deal with that.

ON-GOING PROJECTS
We have no projects going on at this time. The outhouse project has been completed (almost) Bruce is still working on the tape and paint, but they are real usable, and have been appreciated by all, most especially the ladies at game nights and bingo. Quote," wow it is nice and warm in there".

Fate

There were two young men in this small village, who were always trying to get the best of an old wise man. They were never successful in getting one over the old man, so one day they devised a plan that would surly do the job. They would catch this bird, and one would hold it behind his back, while the other would tell the old man, "John is holding a bird behind his back, can you tell me whether it is dead or alive". If he answered alive, then he would snap its neck and show him it was dead. If he answered dead then he would show it to him and let it go. So they went to his house and executed the plan. When asked the question, he simply replied, "John, the fate of that bird is in your hands"

The moral of this story, is, "the fate of this organization is in our hands". Just sayin!
