Greetings,

     

We will be having our Annual Meeting on Sunday October 18^th; Potluck lunch at 2, and meeting to follow.

It’s been a while since we sent out a Newsletter, so there have been quite a lot of things happening at to old schoolhouse. We had a great pig roast this year, we took in $10,370.00 expenses were $0 since the pig and raffle prizes were donated, except for the $100 cash 3^rd prize. The raffle brought in $5,035.00 auction was $4,300.00 and donations were $1,036.00.

      We had a few improvements this summer, an addition to the pavilion was added, a 12’ shed with an overhead door, an addition to west side deck with a handicap ramp on the south side. Metal soffits and facia were added. Everything looks great. We purchased a very little used zero turn lawn mower for the shed.

      There have been a few events during the year, I will be sending a link to the Calander, and you can look at them. If you would like to use the center for any event there is no charge for members. Just let me know when and I can add it to the calendar.

Treasurers report: $2,191.95in checking and $4,538.58in the scholarship fund and $11906.17 in the money market fund, for a total of $18,639.70. Tax deductible donations are always appreciated.

Greetings 

     

            I hope you have been enjoying this nice spring we have had here in Montana

Although we could sure use moisture. Things have been a bit quiet at the old schoolhouse after Christmas and New Year’s Eve. We are planning to have a St Patrick’s Day party this year, please see the flyer below.

            We decided at the last annual meeting to do some work on the building and grounds. We just got an estimate for metal soffit and trim on the building, and we won’t have to paint, so that will be a great addition. We are also going to add onto the deck out back and put a handicap ramp on the south side of the building. There will be an add on to the south side of the pavilion for a storage shed. Work should begin soon.

            Please remember to get those Teacher Memorial Scholarship applications before the deadline of May 15. Call, email or text me for an application.

I’m sorry I didn’t get this out sooner. It is getting close to pig roast time, it will be on Saturday September 13^th. The Pig will be served around 4 pm. Please bring your own beverage of choice, and a dish or dessert to share. We will again be having an auction after dinner, and raffle tickets will be sold. Come and support the Whitebird Community center! The proceeds help provide scholarships to our graduates!

This years $1,000 scholarship winners were: Wyatt Kornick, and Grace Veik.

Greetings all,

     

      The pig roast was a great success this year, we netted over $10,000.

A great big Thank you to all who worked very hard to make this happen.

      It has been a busy summer, and it seems like it flew by very fast. We are getting ready for the annual meeting, and a fall harvest fest, and are already talking about a Christmas sing along. We are looking at Sunday October 27^th at 2pm for the annual meeting, potluck lunch at 2 and meeting to follow. The Harvest Fest and the Christmas sing along flyers are on the second page.

      For those of you who paid dues at the pig roast, it may be that it got missed in the records, so if you paid and it shows you didn’t, please give me a call.
