2016 ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting was held October 9, 2016 at the old school house. Some of the items discussed were; overhead doors for the pavilion, a sidewalk to the outhouses, possibility of having the pig roast after Labor Day. It was recommended to think about this and for now it will be on the second Saturday in June, and perhaps have a similar function in the fall for a trial run.

The Stillwater Historical preservation society had a meeting at the school house, and gave a real nice presentation. Bill gave them a breakdown of how the building was preserved and many of the improvements and maintenance that has been done. They made mention that it may be something for us to consider; to have the old school entered into the preservation society, to preserve the history of the old school. It was mentioned that Mike and Vickie should be made aware of this consideration, and if they approve, we might want to getter done. They assured us that there would be no restriction as to how we used or maintained the property and buildings. Everything would remain the same as it is now.

The directors were re-elected, Bruce Kelley president, Bill Calovis secretary/treasurer, Jerry Nye Vice president, Geoff McKnight, and Jenney Calovis directors.

BINGO, GAME NITE, ETC.

We will be starting up the bingo and game nights after the first of the year.  Due to poor attendance at previous Bingo nights, I will be sending out an email or phone call if you don’t have email, prior to the bingo night, and will request a response. If there is not enough interest I will send out another notice canceling.  We will be holding bingo on the second Saturday night and game/poker on the fourth Saturday night starting at 7pm.

Due to lack of interest, we will not be having a Christmas party this year, but will be having a New Years eve Party starting about 8PM.
