Greetings
I am sorry that the Newsletters have been few and far between. Things have been really slow here at Whitebird. There have a few weddings, but other than that there has been little action. Bruce has been trying to get a little watering and has kept the grass trimmed up as needed. Due to a lack of moisture, it has been quite easy for him this year.
Good news we will be having the Pig roast this year. It will be on the Saturday following Labor Day weekend which is the 11th of September this year. The pig will be pulled around 4:30 and served as close to 5 as is possible. We are still working on raffle prizes and auction donations. Auction will be held after dinner.
The annual meeting will be scheduled for the 3rd of October. We usually try to have it the first Sunday of October. It is a time to get together and enjoy a great Pot Luck lunch and let the board know what you would like to see happen at the old school house. We usually have the potluck at 2pm and a short meeting to follow. This is your chance to choose who will be on the board of directors. Please put this date on your calendar if you plan to attend.
We had
two scholarship winners this year. Emily Routen, and Jessica Calovis.
Treasurers, report: $ 7,336.35 in checking and $ 3217.79 in the scholarship fund, for a total of $10,554.14. Tax deductible donations are always appreciated.
2021 dues are still due and can now be paid via pay pal, or snail-mail. Link to Pay Pal is on BlogSpot, link is http://whitebirdcc.blogspot.com/. just click on dues or donation, select single 10 or family 20. Annual dues have been changed from October to the calendar year January to December. We felt that this would be much easier. After Dec. 31st you will no longer be considered a member in good standing.
